Ok, let me frank up-front.
I'm a little tired of what must be hundreds of "dress-up games" that infest the Deviant Art website.
If you're one of the offenders who contributed one of these, please don't take offense. I'm just spouting off, and I do not mean to hurt anybody's feelings. Especially yours.
But there's too many of them. TOO MANY!! They're painfully simple to do, once you've mastered two commands in Flash. And they're all basically more-or-less the same thing, only with the doll and clothing images changed.
So, you might ask, why the heck am I adding YET ANOTHER DRESS-UP GAME to the hallowed halls of Deviant Art?
Well, this one is DIFFERENT.
I didn't spend hours and hours thinking up different clothes. There are, essentially, only three types of items. Hair (only two types), ornaments (shoes and necklace), and dresses of varying degrees of skin exposure. (Rated PG)
Where I spent my time was making those items DO SOMETHING. Or at least something a tad more interesting than just sliding around over the doll.
Among the things you'll find different:
1. The clothes snap in place so you don't waste time trying position them exactly.
2. We're keeping this rated PG, so you can NOT remove the clothing from the doll. Nothing on the doll can be clicked. to change the outfit, click on an outfit that is currently not being worn, and drag it over. It will replace what is being worn.
3. Some of the items are a little more "3D" than just the front cover. e.g., note the hair which shows *behind* the doll and the inside of the shoe (ok, I didn't do the necklace, I got lazy).
4. There is some animation (this is, after all, FLASH). I'll leave it to you to explore to find out where.
That's about it. I hope you enjoy. I hope Matt Groening and Twentieth Century Fox don't sue.
